To the best of my knowledge, these sound files fall under Fair Use laws due to their short length and lowered bitrate; no attempt is made to pass these off as complete sound files nor to infringe on copyright ownership, and certainly not to detract from the group's efforts. Copyrights in these sound recordings held by the original owners, I make no claims, this is a fan page designed to share the story of the group and the music which is not easy to find in its original vinyl form (of course most of the group's entire output has been compiled in the Magic Voices box set)

The Fool On The Hill (end fade) - Just amazing, keep in mind this is *4* people only! The one that started it all...From "A Capella".
It Might As Well Be Spring (end) - Gives me goosebumps every time. Check out 1. the force of the last chord, 2. the SUBTLE change in the last chord [for you musicians, female voice drops from major 7th to flat 7th, putting it right against the 13th! YEEEEOOOWWWWW!!!!!] From "The Singers Unlimited with Rob McConnell and the Boss Brass".
Anything Goes (end repeat) - Great example of antiphony, creating multiple groups singing against each other...again it's only 4 people! From "A Capella III".
Sesame Street - With Oscar Peterson...just a lot of fun, and how Gene could take something and twist it into something totally new, his cover versions are unique. From "In Tune".
Sweet Georgia Brown - They did a couple of pop-oriented albums as well...Tom Scott (L.A. Express, Blues Brothers) was featured on the "Friends" album, with a host of "cats" in the band, real heavyweights. Still Gene's touch shines through...that's Len in the basement.
Lullaby of Birdland - Lush doesn't even begin to describe it...Amazingly, Gene allegedly has said that he just sits at the piano for hours and eventually something comes to him; whatever sounds right to him, he writes it down! From "A Capella III".
On a Clear Day You Can See Forever - Harder to sing these than you might think, especially the lower harmonies...Swingin'. Appears on "Star Edition" and "Compact Jazz", original LP release on "Feeling Free".
Sweet Lorraine - Also quite swingin', it swings like a big band, the voices are the horns! From "A Capella III".
Easy to Love (intro) - Great example of bop vocal styling without being *too* stylized, flows right along with the brass...From "Easy to Love".
